Artist Boat Coastal Heritage Preserve

Artist Boat offers a special kayak tour where you explore Galveston Bay and take a relaxing pit stop to paint! They also do a free Bucket Brigade Beach Tour if you’re interested in learning more about what makes our coast unique.

Skydive Galveston

For adrenaline junkies or for those who are looking to scratch an item off their bucket list, we definitely recommend Skydive Galveston! Why land in a field when you can land on the beach, take off your gear, and jump in the water?

The Strand

Walk every corner of The Strand to check out this registered National Historic Landmark District. The Victorian buildings that house cute boutiques, La King’s Confectionery, museums, and restaurants are ideal to explore.

1892 Bishop’s Palace

Also known as the Gresham House and a National Historic Landmark, Bishop’s Palace is a must for architectural buffs! Architectural historians even list the “Palace” as one of the most significant Victorian residences in the country!

1877 Tall Ship Elissa

Texas’s official Tall Ship is a National Historic Landmark and is one of only three ships of her kind in the world to still sail! Visit the Texas Seaport Museum and imagine yourself as a daring sailor taking on the world’s seas.

Galveston-Port Bolivar Ferry

This free attraction makes round trips from Galveston Island to Port Bolivar 24/7! It offers views of the Gulf and sometimes dolphins! You can take your car on the ferry, but we don’t recommend it because wait times for cars are quite long.

The Grand 1894 Opera House

The Grand 1894 Opera House has been a part of Galveston’s history for more than 120 years. Take your special someone to a musical, a food and wine festival, or an art show to experience a memorable night!

Moody Gardens

Moody Gardens includes multiple attractions, including an aquarium, an indoor rainforest, the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat, a ropes and zip-line course, and seasonal activities like the ice village. For kids, check out the Spongebob Adventure!

Moody Gardens Golf Course

Whether you’re an avid golfer or just shoot a round once in a while, you must go to this first-class golf course to hit some balls and enjoy breathtaking seaside views. It also offers a clubhouse patio, delicious food, and a golf gear shop!

Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum

If you live in Texas, you know how important oil is. If you have always wondered about life on the rig and how the process of drilling for oil and gas works, then go checkout this tried, used, and retired jack-up drilling rig!

Pleasure Pier

From scenic views and fried Oreos to stomach dropping coasters, this boardwalk boasts 16 rides, a 5D theater adventure, and midway games where you can “step right up”! Buy an all-day pass for unlimited roller coaster rides!

Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston

Schlitterbahn features over 30 attractions for all ages, including three speed slides, four tube slides, three kids’ activity areas, and a surfing wave! The park even has the capability of being an indoor waterpark for the winter months!

Seawolf Park

The park offers one of the island’s most popular fishing piers, picnic sites, a playground and the Galveston Naval Museum. The park on Pelican Island holds the USS Seawolf from WWII and other WWII submarines!

Galveston Railroad Museum

Visitors can enjoy permanent exhibits and learn about one of the world’s most important transportation systems. The museum also hosts events like the THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride, which takes passengers on a majestic trip to meet Santa!
