“The air bnb itself is beautiful and clean. Pros: Super walkable to the strand and fun shops near the strand and galleries Easy to get in and out Parking is not an issue at all Super clean and spacious for a loft Cons: Not an ideal spot for light sleepers as you will hear everything outdoors and in the hallways. We didn’t notice these cons til late at night: Not enough towels for 3 guest Toilet was broken but still usable No bedding for couch was available Electrical issues with fan To be fair all the cons have been informed to the host so they shouldn’t be an issue for the next guest.”

Parking was convenient and the spot is surrounded by so many things to do! We had a lovely time and enjoyed the amenities.”

“Exactly as pictured! A little creaky given the old wood floors. Elevator to the second floor was out of order so be mindful of that if you’re someone who can’t do stairs. The toilet fill was kinda wonky but never NOT flushed just took a while to refill. Location was good, close to a lot of shops, eateries, and bars. Would book again 👍🏼”

“The property is an antique, with updated features. If your interests are old flooring, sinks, doors, and windows this space is exactly for you. The air conditioner worked great. The shower was perfect and the water gets very hot. The provided towels were thick and luxurious. The bed was comfortable. The 2-1 washer dryer was an added bonus. However, no elevator so be prepared to carry luggage and other belongings up the stairs. Not far from pleasure pier or cruise port. Perfect stay! ”

“Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. Things I liked: centralized location, HVAC/fans provide comfortable cooling, kitchen provided everything I needed to cook some meals, huge flat screen TV, plenty of hot water for showering, old rustic building has a certain charm, easy check-in/check-out process, and very friendly communicative host. Things that could be better: the couch and a couple pillows smelled funny, a few minor WiFi outages occurred during my stay, the washer/dryer combo made my laundry smell funny after using, and the refrigerator is a bit noisy.”

“I grew up in Galveston and have since moved, but was down on the island for my wedding. My wife and I stayed here after the ceremony and we could not be happier with our visit. Even as locals, navigating lodging on the strand can be hectic, but the host made it very simple and provided a lovely space that was quiet, comfortable, and peaceful. We will definitely be staying here again!”

“We stayed on a weekend and worked out great parked the car and everything was with in walking distance of the apartment Was our 8year anniversary so we wanted to just enjoy our time on the island Apartment was great clean and well kept saw some people talk about it being loud on the floor well it’s 100 year old building ”

“The place is in a very good location with restaurants located steps away from the front door and more if you walk just a little more! It's located in an old building that still has the charm from its former days. The floor boards do creek a bit and we found the windows especially noisy as the wind can make the lower panel rock back and forth. As it was windy on our stay, the sound of the window casing knocking back and forth went on and on. The kitchen and bathroom were spotlessly clean. And don't forget to take out the trash! Lots of notes TELLING me to take my trash out. Not sure why that gets mentioned in messages and on signs...I do pay a cleaning fee after all. Bikes are provided downstairs for guest to use. However, during our stay, one lock would not open and the other that did provided a pair of bikes - one of which was broken (the handle bars were wonky). Overall, it would be a good choice for many potential guest.”

“This is a great location! Close to the Strand, very walkable and easy to find nice shops around the corner. The neighborhood is quiet, assuming no big festival is happening. Very easy to move around the island from here.”

I will say I think what you are paying for is 100% the location— we have stayed at multiple other B&B’s in the area that were nicer and cheaper, but maybe a block or two further away from the restaurants and things we wanted to go to. The place was clean, but I will say that you will hear everything from the people around and above you. You definitely cannot sneak away to the restroom while your spouse is sleeping. I love hardwood floors but damn they’re creaky. lol”

“Spent two days prior to our cruise departure, enjoying Galveston. The location of our rental was in old downtown close to shopping, antique stores, coffee shops, and too many restaurants to count. There was no assigned parking for the loft, however we had no problem finding a space each time we drove to the beach area. I would totally recommend the loft with all its old time charm and updated amenities.Thank you for a wonderful weekend!”

“This was a great place to stay! The place was exactly as described, beautiful home, easy access to lockbox, we felt safe, and it was easy to find from their instructions. The building had so much character it was beautiful. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of tools as well. This host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the stay, i would definitely book here again. Because it is on the strand, you do have to pay parking- I knew prior but between the hours of 6pm to 9am it is free so that’s convenient, there’s also spots with 2 hour parking free as well. They had lots of deals available on golf carts or beach supplies, and even had bikes available. We didn’t utilize these services but I loved they were available to us. I will say- I think the lights/fan may be connected to a neighbor upstairs, they would turn off and on occasionally, it didn’t bother us. We just assumed it was a neighbor upstairs.. or ghost haha. We loved the place and will definitely visit again!”

“We stayed 2 night at the apartment. It was a little complicated to understand where the entry door was as well as the guest lock box. The lister was very intrusive once we discussed the confusion. Once inside everything look like the picture very nice and clean. It was stocked with everything you need dishes, washer/dryer, soaps, and towels. They did ask for small acts to be done at the end of the stay. Simple things trash, dishes, and towels as a courtesy. Over all everything was great. Very welcoming and homey!”
