“Had a great stay. Great location with easy access to the Strand. Parking was never an issue. We were able to park in front of the building each night since there were no restrictions after 6pm. Loved the old historical building. My only complaint would be that the central AC did not cool well. There were portable AC units in both the living area and bedroom. The bedrooms cooled very well, but the living area AC struggled to keep it comfortable during the day.”

“The location was the biggest positive for us. It was convenient to restaurants and attractions, and we appreciated being able to walk to dinner and back. For the price we paid, the property served its purpose. That said, there were several comfort issues. The bed frame appeared bent and was uncomfortable despite our attempts to adjust it. The sofa was also quite firm and showed noticeable wear. The air conditioner was very loud, making it difficult to hear the TV without turning the volume up significantly. Amenities were minimal. There were very few cleaning supplies provided beyond dish soap, the bedding consisted of a thin blanket with no extra throws available, and the overall experience felt fairly bare-bones. The washing machine wasn't working, but the host communicated well, asked permission before entering, and had it repaired the next morning while we were out. Overall, the property was adequate for our stay, but we would likely choose a different Airbnb in the future.”

The host was in communication with us leading up to our arrival and was super responsive to questions I had during our stay. “Conveniently located in pleasantly decorated. Rather than having to request two sets of towels for 2 people and an extra blanket for the bed and soap I would rather these things already be in the space. This is my second stay at a Beachbox property and this bed was particularly uncomfortable, cratering in the middle making it hard to get in and out of and we are not large people.”

“Very responsive and helpful. I had no trouble checking in or checking out. The building was clean and the loft was nicely decorated. I am artist so this was the perfect distance from post office street art galleries and also a nice short walk to the strand. So many restaurants and amenities in walking distance. We also did not have to pay for parking, there were plenty of free spaces available, which was nice. I will definitely be staying again. ”

“My husband and I stayed one night prior to leaving for our cruise. The apartment was very clean and would be perfect for a longer stay. The location was great and within walking distance to the Strand, shopping and restaurants. Beach was only a 5 minute drive. One thing to consider is if you have heavy luggage or can’t lift things our apartment was on the second floor and there is not an elevator. The listing advises that as well. There were bikes that could be borrowed in the lobby area. Management was very attentive and quick to respond to any messages. Would definitely recommend if you are heading to Galveston. ”
