“Lovely place to stay for our little family vacations! The house is small and cozy and we, a family of 5 (mom, Dad, Grandma, and 2 little ones), felt so comfortable during our stay. The 2 bedrooms are so spacious and nicely cooled. The bathroom, although a little tight, was no problem for us. The kitchen is greatly stocked with everything you need down to the potato peeler and we were able to do most of our cooking. And our favorite place, the living room! We loved to sit together on the amazingly comfy couch while having movie night on the huge TV. With all the good things I can mention about the house, there are a few things that could be better. The floor planks are worn and need to be replaced. And the sewer needs to be emptied out. We didn't mind it as much because most of our time was inside the house, but if you plan to use the outdoor patio for a cookout, you probably won't be able to because of the sewer leakage and smell. All in all, we had a great, relaxing and peaceful stay”

“This place is really good for smaller families. It was amazing to me because I love to feel like I’m secluded and you’ll definitely get that feeling here. Mosquitoes are as you would expect them to be when you’re close to the water, we used spray and only got bit once so that’s a success to me. The AC was EXCELLENT. Even at the hottest part of the day it was 70 inside every room and the living areas. The rooms were very clean, linens and blankets had no stains and all mattresses were clean. I could tell the kitchen was cleaned well and the house smelled fresh. I slept in the bunk bed room with my kids and was surprised at how comfy the beds were! I was worried about dog fur being a problem since it’s a pet friendly unit however there was no fur anywhere thank god so extra points for that ! My only problem was there is no microwave so that did make it hard to heat up snacks quickly for the kids, and the bathroom is small and shower needs to be re caulked/ updated. Pool was AWESOME 5/5”

“The pool was great and the air conditioning worked perfectly. It was a great quiet spot in the hustle and bustle of summertime at the beach. There were a few minor repairs that are needed to be fixed, but nothing that really impacted our stay. They might also want think about adding a microwave to the kitchen. ”

“We loved our stay! The pool was fantastic even though the weather did not cooperate. The house is not big, but that is part of the description. I appreciated the pleasant ambiance of the outdoor string lights. My daughter loved seeing the wild rabbits hopping in the yard after sunset, too!”

“We had a great stay, we reserve for a valentines day weekend, it's small and private great for a couples getaway. But the house does need a few repairs and the outside plants need some care but besides that it's was a great stay. Sadly it was too cold use the pool but it looked awesome.”

“This place was sooooo cozy!! The house is great, really clean whenever we arrived. The pool was so nice too! Some of our FAVORITE parts: - the fact that the house was not off the main boulevard because we had our doggo with us and wanted some type of yard. - there was a beach access road to Jamaica Beach like 6 minutes down the road and we parked our car right on the beach with the whole crew. This trip will forever be a core memory watching our little and dog get to play together on the beach, and the ease of the house, host, and everything literally could not have been more perfect. We would stay here again forsure!!! ”

“This place is the best of both worlds! The little bungalow is situated to give you the feel of being totally secluded while only a 3 minute drive to the Galveston beaches. We choose to stay in to cook and the kitchen is fully equipped to cook just about anything. The mosquitos are definitely abundant but Sam suggested we bring bug spay so we were good to go. We have a 10 year old Lab mix that travels with us and he was totally accommodated. The grass is walkable (no stickers). We absolutely Love this place and will be returning!”

“Pros: - Perfect location. Right next to the eight mile marker, which is a local gem of a beach front to go to. The house's property is nice and secluded, you feel like you are on your own private estate. - Awesome pool. Including a well designed deck, this was a hit for the kids. - Amazing host. Sam was super responsive all the time, and very forthcoming with meeting our needs. Cons: - This place is very small. This is at no fault of the host in that I knew what I signed up for, it's not like the photos are misleading, but I do think saying this place can sleep 8 is a bit pushing it. The living room couch can only sit 4 people. The bathroom in particular is incredibly small, when you sit on the toilet your feet are in the shower, and to open the bathroom door and get out, you have to be standing at a certain angle. All that to say, its smallness sticks out if you plan on maxing out the number of guests, or if you as a person are a bit on the bigger side like me (6'1 210 lbs).”

“Please is just as described. We visited in late June with 100 degree temperatures and the house stayed nice and cool. We appreciated the extra fan at night. Super comfortable beds. The pool was awesome. The only suggestion to whoever stays here is to bring insect repellent because the mosquitos are vicious.”

“The property itself is absolutely charming. We very much enjoyed the quiet and distance from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We were able to cook our meals there, eat on the patio, enjoy the pool, make s’mores at the fire, see a beautiful sunset, and star gaze. It was a very relaxing few days. Thank you again!”

“Everything was great and we were in the middle of the places we wanted to go to. One way to the beach around Jamaica little beyond that the beach was great not overcrowded and clean. At the 12 mile there is a Pizza place called Mario. It has great pizza and reasonable price. On the other end going to Seawall there is a place called Mario in a big orangey color building and they have great food. It’s a restaurant. All kinds of stuff to do around there. The ABNB was good other then we had a water problem out side in the back and it smelled. Couldn’t use the grill unless we moved it to the other side of the house. I went through Sam to get more towels and got them that same day. If you have small children watch out for the fire ants in the yard. The pool was great in the evenings. If you are going to use the fire pit you have to get your own wood you can get a bag at Academy. Even though we had the water problem we had a great time I would rent this place again it is very cute.”

“This little bungalow was a gem! The A/C cooled the house quickly (it was already cool when we arrived), the kitchen was quant but stocked with great cookware, utensils, dishes, etc. The appliances were new, lots of room in the fridge and freezer for feeding a crew of teenagers. The pool deck was roomy with great rocking chairs for morning coffee! Smores by the firepit was a bonus treat, and a large TV for movie night. The bedding was comfy and there were plenty of bath towels in each room. We enjoyed our stay very much!”
