We especially loved the swimming pool and really enjoyed spending time at the volleyball court as well. Everything was peaceful, comfortable, and perfect for a getaway. Highly recommend this place for families and friends looking to relax and have fun!”

“Our family had an amazing time at this home. The house was clean and the outdoor area was beautiful. There were a few minor broken items but nothing that impacted the amenities or trip. The pool was heated, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Plenty of kitchen appliances to cook with and plenty of sleeping space. We really enjoyed this trip and would definitely be back again.”

“Had an amazing stay for our boys fishing trip. Literally the best spot for fishing was right on the docks. We took boats and couldn’t get better fish elsewhere. There were DOZENS of gar that live right here, so awesome. There were a few things that needed work like the patio string lights but it didn’t take away from our enjoyment. There’s SO much to do at this house, we couldn’t even get to all of it. Some of our friends already want to take their families back here. It felt like a nature preserve, so many different animals were there. Owls, fish, herons..this place has it all.”

“Beautiful home that is roomie. The host(s) responded quickly. The rooms were very clean and great sizes. The one room closer to the master bedroom did not get cool. The restroom with blue sink had a slow leak. I think the listing should mention the two rooms downstairs are connected. You have to go through one room to get out back to the sitting area. Both rooms share a jack and jill restroom. The master bedroom is connected to the gameroom. You have to go through the master bathroom to get to the gameroom. The gameroom does Not have any board games or cards, so be sure to bring your own. The gameroom was where the teens stayed the majority of the time. The kitchen had all the appliances needed except an air fryer and a mop. The main refrigerator didn't get cool, as the freezer did not freeze a bottle of water. We didn't get to enjoy the pool because it was cool outside, but it is a very nice length and well maintained. The backyard is huge with plenty of space and things to do. The biggest frustration was NOT the home. It was leaving the home because of the street construction and detour you have to take. The neighbors were very friendly at providing directions. It is a family friendly home. We are looking to rent it again. ”

“Our 13yo baseball team stayed here over a long weekend. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the pool and game room. The sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly where almost all the players stayed down stairs while coaches stayed upstairs. The large kitchen allowed us to feed the players with ease. The home was exactly what we hoped it'd be. The host was responsive throughout and provided clear explanations for check-in and check-out. Highly recommend the home for any traveling sports team!”

“Everything was great with the host. Even though we were held up by the cleaning crew he gave us a late checkout. The pictures are old and it just needs a little love. Lots of things not throughly clean but maybe they were rushed. I would stay there again if it were cheaper or if they fixed all the little things that have been neglected. Be careful of the boat docks, but it was still a great property.”

“Overall, our stay was a positive experience, especially considering the home’s fantastic capacity for a large group of 20 guests. The rooms were remarkably spacious, and we were pleased to find that the beds were very clean and many electrical appliances and lights were in perfect working order. Check-in was also impressively smooth. However, there are a few maintenance areas that could use some attention to truly elevate the experience. We noticed some loose or broken furniture, and the garage door was unfortunately not functioning during our visit. While the "earthy" scent inside and the dust and leaves on the porch were likely just byproducts of the recent stormy weather, the kitchen area did have a old egg-like odor and some rusty appliances. Additionally, the carpets and window clarity could benefit from a deep clean. With a bit of maintenance and a refresh of these details, this property would be an absolute gem for large gatherings.”

“Such mixed feelings on this one! The setting and home are beautiful and for a large group or family reunion this is a hard one to pass up. There were several things though just overlooked on upkeep! The place was “surfaced clean”. But in the kitchen drawer there were mice droppings, outside furniture was very dirty, and a few other things .But like I said before, the homes setting and space is amazing! I did let them know all the things and they did tell me they would address it so hopefully they do! There was one odd thing, one of the bedrooms you have to walk through another bedroom to get to it (or you could use an outside entrance) and then those 2 bedrooms share a bath. Oh, and to get to the game room you have to walk through a bedroom or a bathroom. So kind of an odd layout, but it sleeps a ton and beds were comfy. I’m so mixed on this review! Communication was great! If it weren’t for the mice droppings I would had overlooked all the other items and not mentioned them at all.”

“We found broken glass window when we arrived, they did send person to tape the glass. Thank you for that. Some stairs no hail rails, kids need to be extra careful. There maybe a small safety concern here. House needs some maintenance. Overall was fine.”

“Bewertung für Ersatzunterkunft: Bei Ankunft war das eigentlich gebuchte Haus nicht gereinigt: Betten waren benutzt, Handtücher lagen dreckig auf dem Boden, Bäder waren nicht geputzt. Wir bekamen relativ schnell eine neues Haus angeboten und es wurde als Upgrade bezeichnet. Das Upgrade war für uns die Lage und die Größe des Hauses. Ansonsten war die Unterkunft "Casa on the bayou" sehr in die Jahre gekommen und durch große Gruppen, die in diesem Haus Platz haben, sehr abgewohnt. Es wurde mit Sicherheit sehr lange nichts am Haus gemacht oder auf dem Grundstück repariert. Kaputte Couch, Bootshaus feucht und Schimmelgeruch (unmöglich darum zu schlafen), kaputte Schränke in der Küche und morsche Stege am Wasser (eine Person von uns ist eingerochen). Auch dieses Haus ließ eine ordentliche Sauberkeit zu wünschen übrig (Haare in den Betten und auf dem Fußboden, klebrige Flecken an manchen Stellen im Haus). Positiv: sehr gute Kommunikation und schnelle Reaktion, großer Pool, super schöne Lage”

“The house grounds and pool area are beautiful and very relaxing with the Dickinson Bayou as a view. The home is older. The 4th bathroom was found outside near the pool and the water wasn't on. The master suite toilet area stall was missing a door. And the refrigerator was spotty. The owners were quick to send repair professionals when notified. Overall, my staff enjoyed the spacious home with the pool and watching fish jump in the bayou.”

“We had a great time although cleanliness was an issue. Beer cans, nicotine patches, and cigars left from previous guests, poop on the toilet with no toilet paper in the bathroom, and the pool was murky. But over all the house was great and unique. Love the layout and the boat deck was beautiful. ”

“This house has enough space for large groups and there are plenty of things for everyone to do. Chris was quick to respond with all of my messages. When we got there the AC wasn’t working correctly and there was someone out to the house very quickly to fix it. I will say that the house definitely needs some serious TLC so be prepared when you get there that it isn’t in pristine shape. But it worked for what we needed it to and we enjoyed our stay.”

“We had a great time celebrating my grandpa's 90th birthday. The house was able to accommodate 16 of us with room to spare. The arcade games were fun to play and the beds were comfortable. Grocery store and public boat ramp boat ramp is near by. My only issue would be, not being able to access the back part of the driveway to accommodate all of our vehicles. We had 6 and only 3 could fit.”
