“Good location in Jamaica Beach, short drive to the beach and not a long drive to bars/restaurants on the island. If coming in the summer time, note there is no kitchen table or place to sit/eat inside. The second bathroom in the storage area is, as they say, in the garage downstairs. It was convenient while we hung out down there, but is not climate controlled and small for showering.”

Host is very friendly with clear instructions. Close to playground for my 8 years old daughter and teenage son for basketball court. Swimming pools close by. Right by boat launcher. Lovely patio with water and boats view. Very peaceful neighborhood. We love it.”

“Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood away from Galveston's main attractions and busy streets. Not many restaurants in this area and we didn't go to the nearby beach so can't comment on that. Recommend this place for a peaceful quiet night sleep.”

“We were happy to find a place that accepted dogs, but didn’t smell like a dog inside and was nice. Don’t be fooled by the 3 bedrooms and think it’s a large place, because the living room isn’t big enough for a full house. There were 3 adults and it was perfect for us, and plenty of room. I would definitely stay here again.”

“It’s a beautiful small house in a walking distance to the beach. It has a view of a marina from the outside deck. The area was very quiet. Most importantly the host was very proactive in communication which made the whole experience very smooth.”

“Overall, our stay was a good one. Pros-clean, easy to access, nice views, fenced yard for pets, short drive to beach. Cons-smaller than expected, only one bathroom inside the house and was very small, house needs basic maintenance (there were rotting steps on the staircase, tattered cushions on outdoor furniture, etc.) and there was no indoor dining area. I’d stay again, as it was a good fit for two people, but for a larger group I’d not recommend, due to the smaller than expected size and only one indoor bath.”

There was some mold which affected my sinuses quite a bit and there was a smell of old fish through which they remedied with air fresheners delivered by their cleaning team. This was the reason I couldn’t give 5 stars. The flooring was a bit rough but otherwise it’s a gorgeous view, lots of birds and fish jumping. Very quiet and peaceful.”

“Loved the house. It was so cute and clean. I will say the middle bedroom bed was a little hard and we rolled in the middle towards each other but that was minor. The house was an awesome location the kids loved the yard and patio. Eating outside was a huge plus for us. The house may be small but it is so functional. I highly recommend this place to any family. It truly was so precious and peaceful. It’s nice to have a small drive to the beach literally two minutes and then be able to fish and crab down the street from the house is a huge plus. We come down every year so I for sure may be booking this house again for next year. We truly loved it.”

“The home was beautiful, the surroundings were amazing and the nearby Mexican restaurant Venados Cantina is more authentic Mexican than TexMex if you ask me. Book this you will not regret it. None of the rooms share walls. It’s an extremely wonderful home!!”

“The BeachBox was a lovely home. It was perfect for my family. The balcony overlooking the boat launch was very peaceful. The AC was cold and the beds were comfy. The place was clean and tidy. Plenty of restaurants and stores a few minutes away. We brought my brothers 20ft boat but it didn't fit in the driveway. Luckily, a very nice neighbor informed us we could park it at the local park right down the road. It is a very safe and quiet neighborhood. The boat launch has signs saying it is by permit only. Messaged our hosts and they said we didn't need one. So maybe it is for those that don't stay in the area. We took the boat out fishing that night. Very convenient. Overall, this home had everything we needed for a great family getaway.”

“I stayed in this place for a single night. Everything went so smooth starting from accessing the keys to the check-out. The kitchen had enough materials to cook and enjoy a morning coffee. The place was clean and spacious for 5 people to stay. The location was a little bit far from the entrance of the island. However, the distance to the beach definitely compensates for this small inconvenience.”
