About the Space
The Historic Hideaway is a charming 4-bedroom ground-floor unit of a grand Silk Stocking District mansion turned duplex. Only a 2-minute drive from the beach and the Galveston Pleasure Pier, as well as The Strand shopping district. You are close to everything the island has to offer. Relax by the firepit in the backyard and soak up island vibes. Please note, being a duplex, the outdoor amenities are shared with the downstairs unit.
● WINTER TEXAN RATE: Escape to the Texas Gulf Coast this winter! Ask about our reduced monthly rates October 1 – March 1.
● Location: Midtown neighborhood of Galveston, Texas
● Beach Access: Less than a two minute drive from the Historic Pleasure Pier and the beaches at the seawall.
● Rent Beach Box: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates.
● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps.
● Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed.
● Parking: There is room for up to 2 vehicles in the driveway.

The four bedrooms offer a flexible sleeping configuration. Three restful bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, ensure a good night’s sleep for everyone. A fourth room provides additional sleeping space with a twin-sized bunk bed, ideal for kids or additional guests. The full bathroom, conveniently located off the kitchen, is easily accessible from all bedrooms. And for larger groups, there’s even a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room, offering extra sleeping arrangements.
Head outside to the backyard for some additional fun! Roast marshmallows around the firepit after a day at the beach, just a 2-minute drive away. There’s also space for yard games and picnic tables, perfect for al fresco dining under the Texas sky. Please note, the backyard and outdoor amenities are shared with the upstairs unit. Whether you’re a family seeking a relaxing getaway or a group of friends exploring Galveston’s charm, the Historic Hideaway offers a comfortable and convenient home base for your island adventure!
● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.
● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

- - Groups larger than 8 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- - Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- - Pets are not allowed.
- - Any damages to the home or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- - Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted.
- - Do not turn the thermostat below 70 degrees.
- - Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.
