“PROS: Lots of towels. Some fans were provided. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals (although, the dishes on lower shelves were difficult to reach without getting on the floor - could use some baskets or sliding racks to more easily reach dishes). Full fridge in kitchen and in laundry room with the washer and dryer. I can't say enough about the BACK DECK - there was a constant breeze, lots of seating options, you can see and hear the water from the deck. We could walk to the sea wall or drive to a sandier area, less than 5 minutes from house. CONS: Roaches in kitchen (lots), slippery metal spiral staircase (could use non-skid gripping), multiple outlets in bedroom had shorts in circuitry (sparked when attempted to use - not safe). Lamp upstairs missing parts and unusable. *One of the pictures says the yard is fully fenced but it is not. Maybe it was in reference to the deck. Overall, with some repairs, I would recommend this place to others.”

“We had a great stay with our doggies! Very cold AC and easy beach access. We loved sitting on the back patio listening to the ocean. The kitchen was super clean and had all the utensils we needed. Would definitely stay again on our next Surfside trip!”

“I unfortunately mistakenly made the booking for a Sunday night instead of a Saturday night so we didn't stay the night but the house was adorable, had plenty of beds, and was clean. Definitely would have loved to stay the night. The host was professional and answered all of my questions quickly. Loved that the house was furnished with a pack and play for my 1 year old and a box fan.”

“Came to celebrate my now 7 year olds birthday at the beach. This is what she requested so we spent the day at what she called the "green seashell house." She was super excited and loved that she could hang out in the loft upstairs and look down at everyone in the living room area. She felt like a princess. The view of the beach was breath taking, especially getting to just hangout outside. Such a peaceful area, and relaxing. Memories were made. Would recommend. 🩵💚”

“Such a beautiful location and house! We spent many hours sitting outside enjoying the sounds of the waves on the back porch and by the fire pit. The house had everything we needed for our stay in the kitchen and bedrooms. Our dog that came with us loved going on walks along the sea wall that's right by the house and sitting on the porch with us. It was also very helpful to have the outdoor shower to wash us and our dog off after visiting the beach thats just a few minutes drive from the house.”

“Very very nice area, beautiful ocean view, close to stores and restaurants, pretty clean. Host responds almost immediately. Only complaint is that I ended up killing some small cockroaches inside. I wasn't too freaked out, it's a hot and humid area. And insect killer was supplied by host. I recommend staying here and I would again.”

“Although there were roaches in the kitchen and a little dust here and there,the house was peaceful and in walking distance from the beach. Just what we had asked for. Are family loved the back patio with that view. A quick barbecue and stories by the fire pit at night was fun. The hidden bed on top was a great idea the kids enjoyed that private area. We would love to return again just deep clean for future guests.”

“The good: The place is very nice and in a convenient location—close to a store, market, and drive-on beach access. The fire pit was a fun spot for making s’mores with the kids, and we cooked all of our meals on the BBQ pit under the house, which was great. The okay: The loft is accessed by a narrow spiral staircase. It’s fine for kids, but could be difficult for older or larger adults. The bad: The main reason we chose this place was for a fenced yard, but there isn’t one. It’s also not near a swimmable beach. The biggest issue was German cockroaches throughout the kitchen. We couldn’t leave any kind of food out, had to wash dishes before using them, and worried about bringing them home. They got into everything. I sent Chris a video and he kindly offered to send someone, but I didn’t want pest control chemicals used while my kids and dogs were there.”

“The concept of this beach house is nice. The location wasn’t far from the actual beach, about a 4min drive. My main issue with the place was the roach infestation. I didn’t fully feel safe or comfy knowing my stuff and other guests were staying in a roach infested place. Besides the roaches Chris was accommodating, fast responsive and understanding. The home is clean besides the infestation, with a lot of amenities.”
