“This house was much more spacious that expected. All the rooms were huge. Nice, open floor plan for the main level. The wood walkway to the beach was a bit far for my older ladies but the area in front of the house is open to cars driving on the beach. We were able to drive our stuff & people out there. Outside furniture needs a freshen up but nicely decorated and convenient with 2 stairways.”

Air conditioning worked great, best we have experienced in Galveston in 20 years…just remember to keep the balcony door closed. Read the directions on how to lock the front door, printed on the door itself. FYI.”

“Spacious in size with nice beachy motif. The kitchen includes everything you need with a lot of silverware, as well as dinnerware. The tables accommodate many for eating and playing games. The hot tub was a favorite place to gather, but the hand motions for use were hit or miss. (It m a y have been operator error 🤷🏼‍♀️.) There is a mosquito 🦟 problem; we felt they need to invest in curtailing the influx with some kind of product. Don’t forget y o u r spray! Communication through the app was easy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We recommend two eating places close by: Venados Cantina & West End Marina Restaurant with the pelicans at the entrance. We, also, walked across the highway to the RV park and purchased a day pass for the Lazy River which we all enjoyed.”

“We absolutely loved our stay at this beach cabin! The location was perfect for us, and the views were truly breathtaking. The private walkover from the backyard straight to the beach was such a special touch and made everything so convenient. Even though it was a little too cold to fully enjoy the beach, we made great use of the oversized hot tub was clean relaxing, and the ambience was phenomenal. We’re already planning to come back this summer to take full advantage of the outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and beach access. Inside, the cabin was very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the color palette and how cozy yet stylish everything felt. The hostess was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering any questions in a timely manner. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back!”

“Very well located bead house. Although I don’t think it was listed but the point should be made that this house is located in a no parking section of the beach which meant a very quiet stay for my family and I, as well as when the kids were playing in the sand it was very uncrowded. The house itself is was fantastic the master bed and bath were perfect for a wind down and the other rooms were very well equipped. We enjoyed the stay from top balcony to bottom hot tub.”

“Beautiful well maintained and nicely decorated home. It was very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the view was beautiful. Traffic noise was a little loud but in the house she couldn’t hear anything. The house was quiet and solid! We really enjoyed our time in this house and the view was very relaxing and beautiful.”

“Location is great, just about 15 minutes from 61st street. A few different places close by to eat. There is bedding for just 14, but there was air mattresses and pillows with no extra covers in the closets so bring extra blankets and pillow covers if you have more than 14. Also there wasn't extra bath towels but we brought laundry detergent and washed them after the first night. There were about 6 beach towels behind the couch which was great for the few girls that didn't bring their beach towels. There was about outside shower head to rinse off after the beach, The ice maker, although pictured, is not an amenity so don't be surprised that it's not working. Same with the ice maker in the upstairs kitchen, bring ice. There is a mini fridge and wine fridge in the kitchen that you can put drinks in. We did not try the firepit or bbq so not sure if they work. Would rent again.”

“We rented this home to celebrate my 48th birthday with family, friends and our fur babies. We paid a lot for this home, so we had a certain expectation before we arrived. Check in was easy and the home was clean upon arrival, until we started looking around. The outdoor kitchen showed its age. The sink and the grill was rusted over and there was trash and flies in the trash bin. In the home, there was boys underwear in one of the drawers and, the ice machine didnt work and the freezer was frozen so it was difficult to open. Thankfully we brought coolers and ice. Also, a big lifesaver was the wine fridge. We put all our water and drinks in it and it cooled fairly quickly. The living room, kitchen, and dining area was open to the wall of windows with the beach as the backdrop. Gorgeous! The downstairs bedroom is great for those who finds it difficult to climb a flight of stairs. Our first night was a bit difficult but the management company was on it. The fire alarms were chirping and wouldnt stop and all the electrical wasnt working in the master bedroom and the room across from it. Big pluses include the proximity to the grocery store, your own private walkover to the beach, ability to sleep up to 16, and the hot tub. All in all we enjoyed our stay.”

“The house was the perfect size and we loved that it was direct access to a nice beach. However, for the price we were disappointed in the home. It seemed like everything was broken or didn’t work properly. It was a nice home but seemed like the owners hadn’t been there to make sure it was taken care of. The farmhouse door was off the track, most of the outdoor furniture was torn or broken, even the tv remote didn’t work correctly. We still had a great time and the beach was perfect. Overall when you pay a large amount of money you want all the furniture and amenities to work and the home to look well taken care of. The house has a ton of potential and we still had fun. Owners were very nice and responsive.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the home. However, we were very disappointed in the hot tub. Upon arrival the hot tub was very dirty and had frogs in it. I texted the host and they sent someone to clean it the next day. Even though it was nicely cleaned, it still didn’t work properly. The water heated but the tub did not circulate. We could sit it the warm water but the jets did nothing. Also, we reported the kitchen refrigerator’s freezer as it was frozen over and very hard to open. Another thing to mention is that the outdoor kitchen is not what it’s said to be. The amenities listed bamboo and metal skewers and BBQ utensils that weren’t there. Overall it wasn’t nearly as nice as the pictures. Beach Box Rentals were nice to deal with. They responded quickly and tried to take care of our needs. Overall, we had a good time in the home but I feel like for price we paid I expected more.”
