Hendley Market
2010 Strand
Both a shop and an experience, Hendley Market promises an “eccentric collection of global oddities.” Look for the sign with the big green eyes, and take your time browsing through this vibrant shop.
Gift items from around the world include soaps from Provence, natural bead bracelets, organic catnip, mood rings, and glass hearts from India. You’ll want to spend some time here, so don’t rush. At Hendley Market “bare feet and dogs are welcome.” Sounds like our kinda place.
La Kings Confectionery and Ice Cream Parlour
2323 Strand
A throwback to days gone by, La Kings Confectionary and Ice Cream Parlour is a Galveston tradition. Their famous Candy Counter offers a seemingly endless selection of chocolates to choose from. On the weekends, you can see old-school taffy makers pulling warm, fresh taffy and packaging it right before your eyes.
Take a seat at the old-fashioned soda fountain and enjoy a treat made with Purity Ice Cream that’s churned right here in Texas. Take home some chocolates, ribbon candy, or a sample of the dozens of flavors of saltwater taffy.

Filled with colorful, contemporary clothing, The Style co. is a stylish space with a sleek flair. Sort through the racks of flowy dresses, pretty jackets, and vintage t-shirts.
There’s also plenty of jewelry and accessories to explore. The selection of skirts, jeans, tops, and dresses are all affordable and super-chic.
Seawall Shopping
Located on the brim of the Gulf of Mexico, you’ll find plenty of surf shops and swimsuit boutiques— as well as beachy souvenirs— along the Seawall.

This elegant store is located at The San Luis Resort and has everything you need to complete your laid-back beachy wardrobe.
Packed with all things Tommy Bahama, Tory Birch, Maui Jim, and Robert Graham, you’ll want to stock up on your “dressy” flip flop collection and wide-brim beach hats at Style and Trend.
Murdoch’s
2215 Seawall Boulevard
The location of Murdoch’s is tough to beat. It’s located right on the water and has seating where you can enjoy a cold beer while you watch the waves. With dozens of five-star online reviews, Murdoch’s is a favorite spot along the Seawall.
You’ll find plenty of souvenirs and beach supplies in this huge store— including beach towels, boogie boards, sunscreen, lip balm, and beach chairs. They have a fun, high-quality selection of t-shirts, seashells, stationery, key chains, coffee mugs, and jewelry too.
