For a little bit of adventure or a touch of romance on your vacation, book a horse ride on the beach. This family owned and operated business offers guided tours for 2-3 people. Riding experience is preferred but not required.
This historical marker is a reproduction of the original Fort Velasco, built during the Texas Revolution. It once served as a temporary capital of the Republic of Texas. Learn more about it at the museum on the second floor of City Hall.
This walking trail has beach access and features a natural habitat for birds such as the scissor-tailed flycatchers and orchard orioles. Visit in late September and early October to glimpse the annual Monarch migration.
This 2.5-mile trail is surrounded by native plants and woodland and bordered by the Freeport Harbor. While on a relaxing walk, you may spot butterflies, herons, pelicans, egrets, terns and more!
The Surfside Crabbing Pier is the best-known spot for crabbing in the Brazosport area. Fun for both adults and kids, just tie a chicken neck to a string, drop it in the water, and wait for a bite!
Surfside Jetty Park features a parking area with access to the beach, harbor channel, and jetty, a playground, and restrooms. Have a picnic while watching the boats or spend the day fishing, birdwatching, beachcombing, and shelling.
