“We loved this cute little house!! Pros were great house lots of utensils and cookware provided didn’t even need to bring any. Lots of towels and rags provided. Loved the pool and the out house that was full of video games and a foosball’s table. Loved the back porch. The master bedroom shower was awesome. Cons there were mosquitos pretty bad so needed off for sure, also the pool was half full however the host answered immediately and had the pool people out the next morning so we didn’t miss any prime swimming days!!! There is a pond in the back that we loved fishing in and you can catch crabs since it’s salt water but if they’re blue put them back !!! This was a great vacation and can’t wait for many more would recommend!!!”

“It was a nice house near the beach, I will just add the fourth bedroom, is outside the house beside the pool and has no bathroom. So you should consider this if you really need 4 bedrooms for your stay. We did not use it. Be aware of some cockroaches in the kitchen. The place was clean but you will see the cockroaches at night. And do not leave the door open for a second because mosquitos will get in. Bring mosquitos spray .”

“This place is great! Super cozy and comfortable. Tucked away but still super accessible to everything on the island. The porch and pool were awesome and so much fun! Exactly what I was looking for and exactly as described. The pool is about 4-5 ft deep which is perfect for relaxing and floating but not too deep for kids.”

“If you have a large group (8+) it’s definitely worth it for the price. The beds are good, new memory foam mattresses. The pool is nice and it’s private. Bring insect repellent and don’t leave food out at night. Look up the prices of other places on the island with the same amenities and you will not find a better deal.”

“We rented this cute bungalow for a Girl Scout troop beach weekend! The house was perfectly set up with the Girl Scouts in the adorable bunk room and the troop leaders in the other bedrooms. The house was well maintained, cleaned throughly before we arrived and had great beach themed decor. The living room with the big couch and windows was perfect for a game night. The view from the back porch was fantastic, and we loved the big deck, swimming pool and fire pit area. The house is close to all of the main island activities but far away that it felt very quiet and close to nature. We even saw a family of rabbits one of the mornings we were there. My only complaint was the kitchen was not nearly as well stocked with kitchen supplies as previous rentals we’ve stayed in. The house sleeps 15 but there was only enough silverware for a handful of guests. There were no mixing bowls, cookie sheets, etc for making planned meals. We had to make a Walmart run and buy the missing items.”

“Sam’s house was very peaceful and secluded. If you’re looking to relax, enjoy a roaring fire in the fire pit, swim in the pool when warmer weather comes, this is the place for you. We throughly enjoyed our stay, Sam was very responsive, when needed, would definitely come back.”

“The home is beautiful as for the pool and view of the pond which we stayed mostly outside until the mosquitos came but that is normal for being near the water. What was not normal was the roaches that came to visit later that evening! We cooked and did not notice the roaches right away. They were coming from behind the items on the counter and even a small baby one that was dead came from the water spout on the refrigerator. I would highly recommend if it were not for the roaches! Also they need to change the air filter at the property not sure when the last time that was changed and that is not healthy especially when running the a/c in this hot Texas weather!”
