“We had a group of 17 from our nonprofit, Mentor Waco, for a college tour trip in the Houston area, and this home in La Porte was perfect for our stay! The students absolutely loved the pool—we spent so much time in the backyard enjoying it. The home was spacious and comfortable, huge beds and plenty of room for everyone to relax. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and had enough space for us to cook meals together, which made things easy and enjoyable. Although we didn’t use the garage apartment, it was such a nice extra touch and would be great for a larger group or family needing more privacy. Honestly, we were a bit nervous because of some of the previous reviews, but our experience was nothing like what others mentioned. Every single room and feature looked exactly as pictured. clean, well-kept, and ready to enjoy. We’re so glad we chose this property and would definitely book again for future trips. “Check in was easy. We loved this home. Very spacious with plenty of room to spread out. The 13 of us each had our own beds and there were still beds to spare. The home is very well stocked with everything you need to eat and prepare meals. There was plenty of soap, paper towels, toilet paper and other household items. Plenty of towels as well. The gameroom was great and kept 7 kids well entertained. Checkout was a few simple tasks and we were on our way. We will definitely book again. Thanks again Jessica for hosting us.”

“Great place to stay! Loved hanging out on the hammocks out back. The only downfall was the electricy not working in one of the bedrooms and the arcade games are a bit outdated, 2 didn't even want to turn on. Other than that, everything was great!”

“WE had a great time here just better to finish cleaning before check in and some improvements needed in the guest apartment that in the 2nd floor outside, as the bathroom was in repair and we couldn't use that apartment...also the garage that is in 1st floor should be closed for visitors (it was open) as it was dark probably not good spot to let open for kids. In general the property was great and very comfortable also kids had fun moment in the game room..bedrooms and bathrooms very comfortable. thanks Jessica for being very flexible with us”

“Home is very cozy and suitable for a large group of people. The kids loved playing hide and seek inside and out, the pool is freezing. Yard is beautiful and shaded. The port is stunning at night with all the lights. The fishing was perfect!! The previous reviews are accurate but do not take away from the home itself. Overall home was great!”

“Positives: Fun game room for kids Spacious living spaces Plenty of towels Well-stocked kitchen for cooking Needs attention: Broken dishwasher Unusable bathroom in garage apartment Very musty/moldy garage apartment General air of neglect We had to look awhile to find the last bedroom. It is behind a hidden door in the upstairs bookcase! The children loved their attic hideaway. The garage apartment is basically unusable with the moldy smell & broken bathroom. We had to use those bedrooms as we had a large family, but listing needs updating if bathroom can’t be fixed. The place would be amazing with some maintenance & upkeep!”
