“We really enjoyed our stay at Coastal Cottages! The room was as advertised and very spacious for a studio-sized apartment. It was close to the beach and all the amenities off Seawall Blvd. Management was quick to respond and answer our questions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Galveston near the ocean! Thank you!!(One improvement would be the parking situation. We had someone park in our spot twice during our stay, but I don't have a suggestion on how to make other vacation-goers accountable.)”

“Took my 7yo on a mom and daughter vaca before she went back to school and this place was great for that! We walked to the beach, the unit we stayed in was nice and peaceful, we stayed a week and had a great time. The host was very responsive and we were even able to check in a little earlier! Very nice and communicated very professionally. The entire process was very smooth from check-in to check-out. Only thing that was a little upsetting, was the mess the birds did on my vehicle, lol. I would definitely consider this host in the future when planning another long stay at Galveston.”

“I always like do to a “pro and cons” on reviews, Pros The place was ADORABLE. So cute and for the space it was laid out very well and clean The location is perfect, so many things to do nearby! Beach is a quick and accessible walk. Host was EXTREMELY quick at responding to any messages I sent. BIG pro for me :) Outside was clean and nice. Neighborhood wasn’t bad. Check in was easy , and simple as well as checkout. Cons: We had no hot water in the shower. I basically used hot water and rag from bathroom sink for my showers.. We were also given 2 towels and 2 rags for 3 people. There are no signs for parking and while we paid basically for our parking because it came with the room, people with beach passes filled the tiny lot. Next door is great for parties but also so loud is sounded like we had a concert going on right outside our door “didn’t bother us but may others” We really enjoyed the trip though and look forward to renting with y’all again.”

“A good place to stay for the price point! Not the best place if you’re looking for luxury accommodation but it does the job. The apartment floors were sticky and a bit dirty but the host had the cleaners come mop. It was better but still a bit sticky. The kitchen sink was leaking but they came swiftly to fix that as well. Personally I would want to stay somewhere that doesn’t feel like an Airbnb or feels “lived in” but it is obvious with this apartment. There was a lingering smell, pesky fruit flies, and technical issues with TV. The location was amazing though. Right next to beach access and close to restaurants. We still enjoyed our stay.”

“Everything was exactly as described and pictured. The location was right beside the beach and beside plenty of restaurants and attractions as well. Also, the host is so helpful and responsive! Everything was great!!”

“Great location to the Stewart public beach, Italian restaurant, & convention store. Short drive to the boardwalk. We had what looked like new linen on the bed. The neighbor hood was quite & so were the other guests staying there.”

“This little place was perfect for a couples getaway! It was very cozy and clean. The beach is walkable but for some reason Peretto beach which is in walking distance is overgrown and you can’t get into the beach except to walk a bit to the nearest functioning entrance. So it’s a little deceiving by saying beach front in that way, you won’t literally be “on the beach”. But right behind your bnb there are 2 really good restaurants which was a win. There was another across the street but we never tried it. Fun things like pleasure pier and more restaurants and the strand are just a few minutes drive away!”

“When we arrived to unit 7, we immediately noticed the roof peeling from water damage & pieces had fallen down during our stay, toilet seat wasn’t exactly clean had to wipe it down first use, the water pressure in the shower was horrible & the water never got hot had to have cold showers and there was visible mold/mildew in the corners of the shower. The mini fridge wasn’t plugged in & had a rotting odor, towels provided are cheap and rough, shower towels had stains on them. WiFi barely worked on our cells as well. Overall, the stay was alright but we felt as if that was our experience then we over paid and would’ve been better off at an actual hotel. Check out procedures are a bit excessive too. Clearly the owners don’t seem to care for upgrading the place, building is for sale so maybe that has something to do with it?”

“Host was very responsive and gave clear instructions on location and access. Location was perfect. Walking distance to beach and around a lot of fun things to do. Only issue we had while staying was the couch bed did not have any sheets for it and the mattress cover was rather gross looking do to stains, crumbs, and some sort of smears. We had to remove our comforter from our bed to give our kids something clean to lay on. I do wish we were supplied with creamer, sugar, etc for our coffee. Over all stay was good. Host responded to me fast regarding the sheets, which was all I needed. I was happy with my stay and would recommend.”
