“Great place to stay right along Galveston Bay. The dock was perfect if you’re wanting somewhere to cast a line and fish. Home was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. Check-in and checkout were a breeze. Most laid back checkout list I’ve ever had staying in an Airbnb. Host was also very quick to respond all hours of the day. Can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10 would stay here again.”

“Our party of 6 adult siblings (ages 35-55) had a wonderful 4-night stay. Check-in and checkout were both easy, and the house was impeccably clean upon arrival. The beds and furniture were comfortable, there was plenty of space both inside and outside, and having a private fishing dock was a great bonus. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook, all appliances worked perfectly, and even the pots and pans were in good condition.A note for anyone with mobility concerns: the exterior stairs up to the house are a bit steep, and the interior stairs to the second floor are even narrower and steeper. Two bedrooms and a full bathroom are located on that second floor, so it's worth planning accordingly if your group includes older adults or anyone with mobility issues. This wasn't an issue for us, but it's worth knowing in advance.One more thing to flag: if total privacy is important to you, this may not be the right fit. The house sits quite close to another (bigger) house, and that home's two balconies partially overlook the downstairs sitting area of the rental. Halfway through our stay, two families with a lot of kids arrived next door, and for the rest of the trip we dealt with being watched from the balconies, kids yelling down at us, and even a half-eaten pizza tossed into our yard. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely an unwelcome distraction on what was meant to be an adults-only getaway. We would still book this house again.”

“This was such a nice home. The rooms were spacious. We traveled as a group of 10 adults. The fact that every room had queen beds and no bunk beds was a huge selling point for us. The kitchen was a great space for cooking for our large group with lots of dishes that we needed already there. The hosts were very responsive the entire time from booking, check-in and eveything in between. This was such a nice, quiet area with private fishing right off the dock in the back yard. I highly recommend this property, especially for people traveling with larger groups.”

“Stayed here for a quick fishing trip on the island. The bay location is perfect for fishing and the light on the dock brings in tons of fish (just be sure to use live shrimp on your hooks). The area around the dock is rocky and can get lines tangled pretty easily. We were hoping we could take a dip during the day but that wasn’t an option bc of the rocks and no ladder on the dock (we rented a different place last year that did). There’s easy beach access less than a mile away as well. The house was clean and the AC was cold. A few things that could be better: -outdoor seating only had a picnic table and two chairs. -no lamps anywhere (gotta use your phone light to get in bed) -dryer didn’t heat -upstairs bathroom window didn’t close all the way”

“Owners were incredibly easy to communicate with and were accommodating when I asked for a day extension. The house was placed perfectly on the bay and was a nice, peaceful distance away from downtown Galveston.”

“Our entire family had a wonderful vacation here. We watched the sunrise and sunset together, listened to the singing of seabirds, and it was very relaxing and pleasant. We also caught quite a few fish and three big crabs! If there was anything that could be considered a minor drawback, it was that there were too many rocks at the bottom of the water in front when we were fishing, which got our fishing hooks stuck and forced us to go to the town to replenish several sets of fishing hooks. lol , but overall, the room was clean and cozy, the facilities were complete, and it met all the needs of our family's vacation. The landlord was also very friendly, answering all our questions and promptly solving our minor problems. We will definitely choose to stay here again!”

“We will be back. Positive: The location is wonderful. We’ve stayed twice before. Beds were comfortable and the plumbing is excellent. Great shower. Negative: The 2 gallon jug of laundry detergent was completely empty, and we really needed to wash the clothes we wore fishing and at the beach, before checking out this morning. Couches smelled like pee and need cleaning or replacing. Wish the deck was covered for some privacy from very close neighbors. One tv in a 5 bedroom house.”
