“My then-girlfriend (now fiancée) really enjoy being by the sea and I wanted to find a beach house as close to the shoreline as possible for my proposal. The balcony was perfect with the ocean as the background. The house faces east so is a good place to watch the sunrise over the gulf as well. There is also a beach within walking distance. The downstairs bathroom was a bit on the small side, but that is understandable given that it is a beach house. I also recommend the place for smaller families. Though there are 3 rooms to sleep in, it can feel a bit crowded if there are more than 2 adults per room. The room with the bulk bed can sleep 3 kids.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this spot! The view was absolutely stunning — we even saw a family of dolphins in the morning while enjoying our coffee on the deck. Although there are many similar homes in the area, this one felt more private since it’s situated closest to the water. We stayed from Sunday to Monday and barely saw or heard anyone, which made it feel even more peaceful (though that may have just been good timing). Check-in was slightly delayed as the cleaners were short-handed and still finishing up, but once inside, the place was spotless. The hosts were very responsive and kindly accommodated a late checkout, which we really appreciated. The drink fridge and fire pit were thoughtful touches, and the home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We visited Jamaica Beach (about 20 minutes away) before checking in, but in hindsight, we wish we’d gone straight to the private beach by the Airbnb — it was beautiful, well-maintained, and nearly empty! We will be back!”

“The place was clean overall, though the trash wasn't emptied on arrival. Spotted a rat during our stay. Vinyl flooring popping up, no dishwasher or dryer. The road to the house is damaged and hard to access. Usable, but maintenance and pest control need attention.”

“The management company was nice and helpful for the arrival. The stay itself was good. It is an actual 5 min walk from the beach. However, the picnic table on the porch being the highlight, that’s bc this is the only place to sit everyone together at one time… the kitchen is upstairs, but there is no where to sit. The floors were buckling in several places. The downstairs bathroom is a for sure after thought… the only tv’s are in the hot kids room or the living room… they don’t want you to put the ac below 70, but they have no way to block the sun during the day. The house is 80 degrees all day… the master room ceiling fan/light has no switch… so it’s light on fan on or light off fan off… and then they have one small lamp with warm lighting for the whole room… two of the main drawers in the kitchen are blocked from opening without first opening the stove or dishwasher… the most dangerous part… the ac runs off onto the driveway close to the entry stairs… green algae… someone could slip.”

“Floors are a little rough deck as well but over alll great view in a remote location. Great for my German shepherd to play on the beach without any traffic!!! I’d definitely stay here again!!! The house itself was clean and easy to keep up with. The host was on spot with getting back to me.”

“Had no issues, check in and out was easy compared to other houses in the area. We come stay and fish twice a year at San Luis pass. Good thing about this house was there was room for the boat .”

“Roads were bad parking spot was all washed up and bad. A lot of loose boards on deck kept tripping. Ants in kitchen on stairs and on kitchen counter. Black hair on beds and floors. All floors were like the were starting to worp and tripped.”

“While we really enjoyed the location and watching the dolphins right from the front porch, the house has some flooring problems. The front door will not open all the way. (It does not have double doors as pictured.) They do have a fire pit to use that is not pictured as well as a charcoal grill. The beds were comfortable!”

“I just recovered from major surgery & it was a bit rough on my My husband and I so we very much needed a place to get away & enjoy ourselves while also trying to get out a bit and try out some local establishments and have a bit of fun..The home was very clean, peaceful, & beautiful...The view was amazing from the patio! In fact, We were so comfy & enjoyed the view from the living room so much that we never even slept in the bedrooms! (which were very nice & had really great sized beds) We cozied up on the couch & watched movies the entire time we were there! The downside was that there wasn't anything else to do.. Nothing close by & door dash nor Uber eats deliver there. It's a 20 minute drive to the nearest store. Also, we were mislead a bit because it's listed as a beach front home but there's no beach..it's a shoreline with stacked boulders so there is no access to the water, just the view of it. We still really enjoyed our stay & would def book again when we need the quiet time!”

“Great location. Not so private. We have a stalker all through our checkout from the property behind. Though a beach house expected a lil updated furniture. The cushioned furniture outside are of ready to discard. 2 out of 1 washroom is not useful. Hall is small. Beach front and had a great sunrise 🌅 on new year morning”

“Unfortunately I cannot in good conscience leave an entirely positive review. The view was great, and the location was peaceful (in fact, so peaceful my husband slept on the patio), but the house was in need of a lot of maintenance, including moldy air vents, flooring, and had an obvious roach infestation. We killed at least 5 roaches just in one evening. The mold was a health concern considering we had young children with us as well.”
