“There’s some rotted wood in front of sliding door on the bottom deck entry needs replacement.Some steps going up to the main entrance needs to be secured.The dishwasher didn’t wash dishes on top rack.Shower on the ground floor didn’t have hot water. Overall our family(15) stay at the beach was good .The beach house accommodated my family very well . 5 minutes from the private beach, convenient store ,Marrio Pizza (delivery) and Alex seafood market. GolfCart rental we used Galveston Golf Cart Rentals ph#409 497-2499. reasonable prices and same day delivery. Pet friendly neighborhood. Our New Years stay there was a memorable .5 stars”

“This house is falling apart. The first thing we noticed was the wood damage on the exterior and the restroom walls lifting. The room on the first floor smelled strongly of mold. When we arrived, the floors were very dirty, and it was clear the place hadn’t been cleaned before our stay. The restroom upstairs doesn’t have cold water in the shower it’s only super hot. There was a urine stain on the bottom mattress in one of the bunk rooms, which was disgusting, and it didn’t look like anyone even tried to clean it. The couch also needs to be replaced, it’s stained and has stuffing coming out of it. On top of that, the TV remote volume button doesn’t work properly. The price of the listing is not worth it. This listing needs updated photos, as most of the rooms no longer match what’s shown. Many furnishings have been changed, although the new kitchen appliances were a nice upgrade. The location was also good.”

“Needed more assistance with trash pick up(previous renter left behind a lot of trash). House was clean for the most part. A lot of dog hair was everywhere , we enjoyed our stay overall.”

“The house was adequate for our stay. The home needs some maintenance. The water did not get hot. The sliding glass door downstairs did not function properly and the area had to be entered through a dark storage space. Several light bulbs did not work. The place was clean and in a great spot. The host was very responsive.”

“The place was okay to stay. I had safety concerns with the parking area. Host was very intrusive with the questions regarding our stay. Host provided rules that weren’t even on their rules after the booking. There were 9 of us, which was way less than the 16 max. I ensured there was not going to be any parties going on. Referred to my reviews. There were 7 teen girls who were the committee officers for a gala held in Galveston for the night, and instead of driving back home after the gala, was going to stay on the island. I was informed they were going to monitor the “day guests” with a security guard, and needed to know how many day guests there will be. With all the questioning, I expected the place to be spectacular. It was underwhelming, smelled musty and dusty, and an older “beach” house that’s 3 blocks away from the beach. When asked about the security that she said they had since the walkway way was dark and no working light, none was provided.”
