“We decided to use the home for our annual employee getaway. We had a great time. We booked it pretty last second; two weeks beforehand. The home was great to host the 15 of us. It was our first time staying in Surfside and it became our new favorite local beach town. It had everything we needed. Linens, toiletries, cookware and dishes. The beach is a nice 2 minute walk from the house. Cleanup instructions were also clear and simple, something that was appreciated when 15 people spent the night! The balcony patio was great, we spent most of our time either there, or the living room playing board games.”

“Quaint beach house in quiet neighborhood - with view of the ocean, loved the deck and beach chairs, we had morning views of a family of dolphins while we drank our coffee which was a great bonus - beach access is a walkable distance. Pro tip- Bring a wind resistant lighter if you want to use the charcoal grill! Plan ahead bring groceries, the closest stores are fairly expensive and not so close. Beds were comfy, plenty of amenities as listed, communication was fast and kind. Family had a good time, memories were made, would stay again. ”

“Bottom line, we had a great time. We wanted to go to the beach, we wanted to see the ocean from our patio, and we wanted a comfy bed to sleep in. It had everything we needed and we had a good attitude and good time there. With all that being said you definitely have to understand where it is. I did not look at state imagery and didn’t know that along the entire beachfront in that neighborhood, there was a strip of about 100 yards that has no sandy beach, instead us giant plopped rocks/boulders, and this house was smack dab in the middle of that. However it was just a short 4 minute walk to beautiful soft sand. The rocks are to help breakup and protect all the houses from waves. I’ve been to several beach houses and you have to expect certain things and cannot expect a house to be in nice of shape as an Airbnb in the middle of a city. The salty air is tough on all metals, and wood. So things look rusty and worn down. It was clean, we had a great time.”

“Perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. Enjoyed the open and quick communication from Chris. There is beach access just walking distance from this location and the neighborhood is quiet for the most part. It is about a 30 minute drive to Lake Jackson or Galveston so make sure to stock up on food/supplies before getting there. The home itself was spacious for my family of 4 and the beds were actually comfortable. My suggestion to other guests is to definitely bring mosquito repellent. My suggestion for the owner is possibly putting a privacy film over the front door.”

The ocean view is great and the sounds of the waves are amazing. It is a short walk to a beautiful, private, secluded beach filled with shells and treasures. We really enjoyed our stay here!”

“A very peaceful getaway. Having visited in the first week of January I had a very quiet and peaceful stay. Not many people were in the small community during this time. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place to do it. You are at least 20 minutes drive to a small convenience store, so stock up on ALL the essentials! The ocean views and long walks along the beach with next to no one on it was definitely a highlight. On the last day, the sun came out and I got to see a beautiful sunrise and sunset. The wifi is spotty so if you need to work during your stay, I would take this in to consideration. Chris was very responsive and the house is really lovely and cosy.”

“We had a nice stay and found all the kitchen stuff we needed. Beds were comfortable and the house is quite close to a beach entry. The outside shower was only running hot water but there’s a hose near the BBQ that helped. The management responded quickly to ants getting into the downstairs bedroom. As with all beach houses there are stairs so be prepared. ”

“Clean and beach access was easy. Worked great for the two days we needed it for. Only thing is there is really no driveway… we only had 2 cars there and there is no concrete leading to the home. But overall satisfied.”

“I normally dont add a detailed review over my Airbnb stays but this one was a different level. The good: nice location near the beach, great views, walkable to private beach and porch was convenient for our dogs to hang out. The bad: no flexibility for check-in but ironically asked us to let them know if we checked out earlier. Long to do list before checking out. Upon arriving, after enjoying the beach, we were back at the house and outdoor shower was broken, then the bathroom curtain rod had fallen (was missing one end to stay up) so we were limited to one shower. Washer was not working so we have full load of dirty clothes with detergent. Also, received many messages including at least 2 for checkout, giving the feeling we were being rushed out. Also someone was parked outside the morning of waiting for us to leave so that made us feel more rushed; I know for a fact there wasn’t a reservation after us as we got a discounted offer to extend our stay. Wouldn’t recommend”
