“Wonderful place to stay due to the location and the ease of getting to the Port for our cruise. I believe the description mentioned there could be noise from the street, but we didn’t experience any of that. I would suggest though if you are a sleeper that has to have a dark room to bring a sleep mask. The Master only has a light weight curtain on the window close to the head of the bed and there is a good amount of light from the street. I would definitely stay there again though. I ❤️❤️❤️ historically buildings!!”

“I loved the loft but I think the floor location should be included in the description. My husband and I are in our 70’s and climbing 3 flight is tuff with luggage. Also could not find any parking across the street. Had to walk 3 blocks for parking”

“Overall it was a nice stay and we would consider going back in the future. Place was clean and super cute. Few things kept it from getting a 5 star: No Hand Soap in bathrooms No Remote control for TV No tilt wand on any blinds so you can't really open or close them Listing said "typical street noise" but did not expect a crazy loud beeping and banging trash truck outside master bedroom window at 4:55 AM. Had to walk trash out and a block down to throw into dumpster. Not my usual experience with a stay in an AirBnb. They seem to be very concerned about customer service and are doing a really cool thing having renovated an old building and they were responsive when we contacted them about some of these things, like the remote, but to get a 5 star rating you have to have hand soap and at least no trash trucks to 7 am. That is not what I think as typical.”

“Great apartment in the middle of downtown. Walk around town or take the 5 minute drive to the beach. Positive: Love the location. Close to dining and shopping. Great building. Loved the stairs. Apartment was clean. Had everything we needed. Good view of the nearby church. Negative: This place needs an elevator. If the elevator worked the price point would be great. Parking is not ideal. It worked out just fine considering the 2 hour limit during the day, but required attention. Blinds need replacement and some blackout blinds/curtains would be helpful. A lot of light in the apartment, even at night. The soap for showers sucks. Way too small.”

“We had a great stay at this loft with our family of seven! The host was kind, fast to reply, and proactive with instructions. The building itself is BEAUTIFUL with a unique blend of industrial vintage and modern design that gave it a lot of character. The location was fantastic. Close to the port and within walking distance of several great restaurants. The only downsides were that it's a third floor walk-up, so carrying luggage with a toddler was a bit of a workout. There wasn't a washer and dryer, which would have been helpful during our stay. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and well located place to stay. We will definitely be staying again next time we are in Galveston.”

We were initially a bit concerned about parking, particularly because we arrived late at night, but it proved to be simple and convenient. “this was my husband's and my second stay at this property and would stay again. Clean property and excellent communication with host. No issues accessing the property. Note that this is on the Strand side of the island (not the "beach side"), which is our preferred area to stay when visiting Galveston. It is also an old building, so the windows are not soundproof! (read: you will hear street noise). if that bothers you, you may want to consider other properties. The walls, however, are solid :-) (read: you will not hear noise from other guests in the building).”

“We had a great stay at Sam’s place. There were a few bumps during check in (code for key box didn’t work and there was no pack n play at the home after confirming that there would be). But there was fast and easy communication with the team and everything was sorted quickly. The apartment is huge and in an excellent location. Bed was very comfortable. We did have to take out all of our trash at the end, which was a little inconvenient. Overall I would recommend!”

“The only drawback was the street parking. We were told in advance that there was not private parking. It was February 2026 and so I was not concerned that we would not find a parking space and there was ample parking that does require payment within the hours of 9a-6p, I believe. I do think if you stay during peak summer months, you should research parking options. But, we found ample street parking right by the door, as expected. The apartment is 2 bed, 2 bath, 3rd floor walk up and is beautiful, pristine clean with no dust bunnies. All the charm of the older building was still intact. We stayed one night and found a walkable wonderful restaurant about 300 ft away. The kitchen, dining and living room are spacious and both bedrooms were very spacious. The living room has a bonus of electronic fireplace which was lovely. Hall bathroom has a walk in shower and master bathroom bathtub shower, so perfect for our multigenerational situation. The beds were very comfortable. We will return.”

“This is a good stay. If you have small kids, it doesn’t have room darkening curtains and the elevators do not work. Our unit was on the 3rd floor and 3 and 5 year old did ok. Having darker curtains definitely would’ve been nice! It’s on a busy road and there was a lot of road noise as well as street lights which lights up the unit we were in. The photos have a picture of a washing machine and while it’s not listed in the amenities, it is in the photos and we were hoping to use it before going on our cruise. The place itself is super cute and the beds were comfortable.”
