“Great place for a quick weekend trip to Galveston. The place was very clean which is always important to us. Close to so many great restaurants, shops, entertainment, etc.. we stayed on a Saturday night so the only small complaint ( and this is not the owners fault) is that it does stay noisy at night until 11-11:30.”

“We know the area very well and Sam’s place was the location we were looking for! Located in the heart of Galveston historic area. It is in the Old Newspaper building. so be aware it is obviously an old building and feels such. We like that. Third floor walk up so people with mobility issues it would be a problem. I don’t think there is currently a push to repair the broken elevator. The space was large corner apartment with views of the old Basilica stain glass at night. Most importantly the Beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning kept the place cool and comfortable!! We booked it again for a return trip. To be honest it’s not the nicest most posh place we’ve stayed in by far. But for the price this place was fantastic!”

“We had a great stay here. It was a great location and a super cute apartment building. We took the bikes to the beach that were available to use and that was a mistake. They were not great bikes. 😅 otherwise, no complaints and a great stay and host!”

“Pulling up and seeing the unattended lobby w rental bicycles and bug on the stairs made me tentative. No working elevator either. However, the place oozes history and personality. Entering our third floor apartment was a complete turnaround. It was gorgeous! Being on the corner of the building gave us plenty of space and view. The beds were very comfy, seating was much more than adequate, water pressure was good, kitchen nice and well equipped. After staying a couple nights in another short term rental which was ok but was a single wide in the country this week, we felt like we were in the lap of luxury. I will definitely want to stay here in the future. ”

“Our last minute decision to stay in Galveston the night before our cruise was met with hospitality and great communication! Sam is so friendly, the home was AMAZING and spacious! It’s a quick walk to any restaurant and so close to the port!! I would definitely use this location again for another cruise stay and for our annual trips to Galveston!!”

“My family of 4, plus 2 in-laws stayed at this apartment pre-cruise. Location is excellent! Many restaurants within walking distance. We ate just around the corner at Taquilos (delicious and happy hour all day!) Decor and furnishings were nice and modern. Great communication with the host. Best thing is that we WALKED 0.9 miles to the port. So easy. Only downfall of this place is no elevator so we had to carry all of our luggage up to the 3rd floor, but we are all able to do that, so no biggie. We'd stay here again! Easy check-in with key box. Highly recommend for pre-cruise!modern.”
