“This home was great to share with a few families, especially with kids! They loved having two pools and being so close to the beach. The yard was fenced which was also a huge plus! We used the fire pit each night we were there, really enjoyed all of the outdoor seating options. The only issue we had was the mildew smell. I understand the coast is humid but, the smell is quite strong. We did adjust to it but, when we returned home, all of our clean clothing and pillows smelled like mildew and had to be washed. Still a 5 star experience though, the house was so great is overshadowed the mold but, I would recommend the owners bring in an expert to address the issue :-)”

“I took my 17 year old son and 8 of his friends. They all loved the place and short walk to the beach. They really enjoyed playing volleyball on the sand court. Swimming pool was still a little cold but a few got in. Plenty of room for each to have their own bed. ”

“We enjoyed our stay at this beach home, plenty of space/beds for big group. The house was clean, check in was easy, and the property management are very friendly and responsive. Love the ocean view, and the backyard space for kids to play, fireplace was perfect for catching up with the family/friends. Only thing could use a little upgrade is the grille, it has a charcoal grille that’s a bit of seasoned. Will definitely recommend this hidden germ for weekend getaway!”

“We had a great time staying at the Sea Esta in Galveston. The check-in process was easy. The house was in a quiet little neighborhood and literally a five-minute walk to the beach. The house itself was clean and tidy when we arrived. And most importantly for us, there was plenty of space. We had three families - five adults and four children under four - staying here and there were beds and bedrooms to spare. It did not feel cramped at all, even when we were all together in the main living space. And the description of the property on the listing was extremely accurate. The weather didn't cooperate so we didn't really get to take advantage of the pool, hot tub, sand volleyball pit, or fire pit, but if the weather had been better we would have loved to enjoy those as well. There's also a park just a five minute walk from the house that's great for young kids (it was a bit big for our two and four year olds). The house is about 20-30 minutes away from some of the main attractions of Galveston, so take that into consideration when making plans in town. But there is a grocery mart nearby and several great restaurants just 10 minutes or less away (I highly recommend the Way West Grill). Overall, this was an excellent experience and if we ever make plans to come back to Galveston (which is much more likely after we had such a good time this trip), this will be number one on our list of lodging options.”

“Pros: The house was way better than we expected. We went to the beach earlier in the morning before check in time. And then we went to the house at check in expecting to want to go back to the beach but we absolutely did not, they had 2 pools instead of just the one that was in the pictures. They also had a volley ball net. This house has plenty of space for everyone we spent most of our time outside having lots of Fun we had a total of 11 people and 5 kids we all slept comfortably! Cons: *not really cons* I was hoping we could just cross the street to get to the beach like be able to walk there but you can’t you have to exit the neighborhood and go straight across which was fine. Overall we were happy with our stay extremely happy had lots of fun!”

The only thing we didn’t like about the location was that the Walmart was a little far for us and when cooking for 14 we like to buy food to cook and the small little shops around the house didn’t carry as much and much higher prices. “We had a nice time at this beach house. The outdoor patio is great for breakfast and dinner, but the uncovered deck area gets way too hot to step on with bare feet after the sun comes out. The cowboy pool was a nice feature. It was filled with plenty of beds for bigger groups—probably too many for the limited amount of bathroom space (the downstairs is capable of sleeping around 10 people, but the tiny bathroom doesn’t have one towel hook, so we had to throw damp shower towels on the beds or hang them on the doorknobs to dry. Zero counter space as well. Not a great bathroom for 10 people to share.) I can’t speak to the upstairs bedrooms since that’s not where I slept or showered, but they seemed spacious enough. For the amount of people, especially guests that bring their own food to cook, the fridge is pretty small. Ice maker didn’t work either. Kitchen was stocked with dishes, but things like can openers and spatulas were all broken when we got there, so we bought our own.”
