Little pool for the kids to play in, nice deck for us to talk hangout and fish, cool little game room and a fully fenced in yard so my dog could play and roam and I didn’t have to worry about him getting out. And we were right across the street from the beach where we parked in the sand and set up our spot just steps away. Everything was fantastic and we had a blast.”

“Great place to stay for our guys trip to Galveston. Plenty of outdoor seating and deck space. Enjoyed the fishing and just sitting on deck relaxing with a cold drink. Beds were comfortable and everything was provided. Our group will definitely be back again for a longer stay. ”

“This was a last-minute rental for us, and it was so cute! We always get a beach house in Jamaica beach, so we are very familiar with the area. This rental was the first one that did not have as many amenities that we are used to with our Airbnb's (no dishwasher, no extra blankets, no coffee machine, no full-size shampoo/conditioner/body washes, no kayaks). The cowboy pool was a super cute idea, but our kiddos didn't use it because they said it was too cold. The main issue was the decking outside. There are three different level changes when walking around, and there are boards that are lifted up. Everyone in our party kept tripping and several people lost their footing and almost went into the water. Overall, it was a super cute house that served its purpose for our little vacay. :)”

“I spent weekend at the Crab Shack home, and it was just as described. Home was clean, kitchen was well-stocked. Communication with the host was easy and she graciously answered any questions or concerns. The location was perfect. My teenagers enjoyed fishing off the back boat deck. We were blessed with great weather and able to enjoy the spacious deck (no mosquitos during our stay). I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great place to stay at Jamaica Beach. I will definitely book again.”

“Easy check-in process. Property was clean, well kept, and equiped with essentials. Cowboy pool was small, but refreshing. Good access to wifi and streaming services. Fishing area on back deck. The only issue was the ladder/stairs to get to the 3rd floor bedrooms was a little difficult to navigate. Wouldn't recommend for people with mobility issues. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“House served its purpose. A/C worked well and the decks are great. We didn’t try the cowboy pool. Caught a few catfish which was nice. The spiral case/ladder is not for elderly or have bad knees if you want access to top 2 queen rooms. Overall nice place for a economy stay.”

“House was exactly as expected and accurate to the description and pictures. Check in was very easy. Host was attentive and courteous. Location was great! It even has an unexpected game room with an additional bathroom. The kitchen had everything you need and more. Yard is completely fenced in, which is hard to find in this area. My family and I will return.”

“This was the perfect place to stay for a quick little trip! I only wish we had more family, and time, to share this amazing home!! It was just 2 of us, but it was perfect!! We played games in the basement, watched tv in the living room, and enjoyed the scenic views from many levels! We would love to return in the summer with our family as this home has many family style dining areas, kid friendly sleeping areas, and is equipped perfectly for returning home after long beach days! Chris made us feel so at home and provided us with many options of activities while we were there. Chris also went above and beyond with his responsiveness and helpfulness! A beautiful stay and excited to return!”

“Overall, this place was a lot of fun! We loved being able to wake up, walk outside and be on the water. I wish the fishing/crabbing was better, but that just had to do with season. It was really nice the dogs could wander and they had the dock itself gated off. The stairs in the house though are treacherous. Honestly not suitable for kids or elderly people. Too steep and felt like you had to climb a ladder to get to an attic. The queen bed downstairs needs to be replaced asap. The bed sinks way down in the middle when lying on it, and my husband and I were so restless. The dock is a little worn and unlevel in places, we all lost our balances on a good number of occasions. Other than that, Chris was very responsive and helped us with all of our questions! I would definitely be back, but wouldn’t recommend for young kids or elderly people due to the stairs inside.”

“Sunset from the large deck was beautiful. Major downside for me--pictured swing under house was not there. Stairs were described and pictured, so we knew they would be tricky and they were. Also, we ate most meals in the well equipped kitchen, so a dishwasher would have been nice.”

“we had a short stay here, but our time was well spent. the fact that this house is on the bay/water and has a cowboy pool was awesome. the spiral staircase off the living room is adorable. the deck has plenty of seating to relax outside and just look at the water. clean and easy to get in to. thanks again ”

“The ultimate chill spot in Jamaica Beach!! The deck area here is awesome—sprawls out over the water like it’s beggin’ you to lounge, grill, or fish while you wait for dinner or whatever, lol! I love the outdoors so that was the highlight for me with the fire pit and all. Bunk room downstairs was nice for some separation too! ”

Tucked away in Jamaica Beach there weren't any loud parties of any thing of that sort happening. Beach access direclty across the street. We would stay again for sure.”

“Me and my family had a lot of fun during our stay! We enjoyed all the things this spot had to offer, from the home-front canal, the dipping pool, and nice views from the decks. The kitchen and restrooms were very clean and it was very helpful to have the washer and dryer on site. What I was really happy about was being able to take our 2 dogs on our trip! It really made our trip more worry free being able to take them on our family trip. Having the beaches and stores close by was very convenient as well. I look forward to visiting again in the future!”

“We hag a great time at this house. We couldn’t spend much time on the beach because of flooding so the stock tank pool saved the vacation. The neighborhood was great and the locals there were very helpful. Chris was a great host and was quick to reach out and respond to messages.”
