“We stayed one night and it slept 11 of us comfortably, we had 3 kids and 4 teens with us. The linens were very clean and the house was cozy. The tv remote was broken, and the majority of us took cold showers but overall it was just what we needed for a quick overnight stay! We appreciated the flexibility of the booking and that they didn’t require 2+ nights.”

Check-in was easy, and the location was perfect—close enough to the city to enjoy everything, but far enough away to be peaceful and away from the noise and traffic. “We stayed in Galveston for one night. We had 3 kiddos with us and they were very entertained by the arcade game room. We used the grill and patio space in the evening . There is an outdoor picnic table and a fire pit great for families who love the outdoors . We enjoyed our stay ! Thanks !”

“Fantastic stay! Home is beautiful, perfect for what we needed. The beds were comfy. I slept so soundly. We loved the arcade machines in the game room. The location is quiet & peaceful. The house was clean & welcoming. We loved the hot showers after a day at the beach. My son said this was his favorite trip ever and he wants to come back. I agree, it was the nice relaxing mini vacation we really needed. We love that our home away from home was pet friendly because we wanted our furbaby to experience our trip with us. There was a washer & dryer which I really appreciated because I could wash our clothes before heading home. Our host Sam was always kind and easily reachable should we have needed anything. Easy check in and check out. Between the beach house and our wonderful host, we had a spectacular mini vacation and we plan on returning because as my son said best, "Mom, this is the best trip we have ever been on!" and "Can we live here at this beach house?" My husband and I agree!”

“The place was exactly as described, Sam was very helpful and responsive with all questions, the walk to the beach is just 3-4 minutes, and I would definitely stay again for the price. There are two floors, with the game room on the bottom and the kitchen + other 3 floors on top. It was certainly cozy for 14 but we made it work (plenty of beds in a very little space). Everything was clean upon arrival, and the only minor complaints we had were as follows: - only 1 paper towel roll - no remote for downstairs television - a leaky upstairs air conditioner - broken fan in master bedroom - no mats in the bathroom and light water pressure Overall, the place was wonderful and we had a great time! You get what you pay for, and it is certainly a cozy retreat and not a high-end resort.”

“I made the most of trip and Sam was very helpful in assistance with that, however there were issues during the stay. The home was not as clean as advertised and the some amenities were not accessible(BBQ Grill, Foosball Table, Hot Water). The unit is beautiful, the area is in a close proximity to the beach, they have almost all streaming services which is amazing. Despite my issues, I ended up having a great time so the stay is what you make of it.”

“Cute place. Updated in general. Close to beach. The AC in one bedroom was extremely loud. There are three bedrooms on the main building. Only two bedrooms have access to the bathroom. One bedroom (4beds) does not have direct access and needs to go through one of the other bedrooms. It rained and the outside area was flooded. There was no way to get through without getting our shoes completely soaked. I will post pics if I can.”

“I am grateful for the opportunity to stay there, however, the shower knob was hard to work in the bottom room and there was rust that was sticking up on the top bunk bed. I almost ripped the blanket when I was trying to get it off. Also, there was no WiFi the entire time. We had like 7 kids and wanted to wind down but could not get it working. I tried to communicate with the owner and it seemed like communication was slow and the photo was not going through. Other than that, we stayed out. We arrived a couple of hours late and there was no option for a late check out. But they are very nice people and we were grateful. Hotels would have been cheaper and probably better for our next adventure in that area.”

“ We enjoyed our stay. Lots of options for sleeping. I almost wished we had 4 more people with us. The outside was a bit disappointing. No wood for the fire pit ( was listed as something to bring but we had come from out of State for one night. It is not practical to expect guests to bring or be able to go somewhere and find that. It was nice having a washer and dryer.Our teenager loved the lower level. The outside could use a little TLC, the vegetation was all dead, very old rusty grill should be replaced. We could have used more soap in the shared bath room upstairs, along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There wasn’t enough for three people. Chairs on the upper deck to see the ocean would have been very nice to have. Beach towels were not provided. I think this was maybe only the first or second time this was rented. Some of these issues can easily be addressed. I am just mentioning them because if no- one ever tells you how will you know. Sherrie Please consider these comments as me trying to help you be successful.”

“Host was very attentive and I really appreciated the texts with instructions and detailed information. The property is located in a great spot - close to the beach, restaurants, & quiet neighborhood. The only issues I'd mention for other people who are looking to book this property would be that the property did not seem as nice as the pictures portrayed it to be. Couches and beds need updated. Lots of wear and tear on the couches and the mattresses were lacking in comfort. The main house area (upstairs) was nice and had everything needed to cook. The setup is odd, but it worked ok for one night. There are three bedrooms upstairs, but only two have direct access to the bathroom in the middle of the night, if needed. It was stormy the night that we stayed and very humid in the house. To the point that I woke up "dewy". The game room & additional beds were on ground level and completely separate from the rest of the house. That being said, the kids loved it and loved the separation!Overall, great stopping point for us and great for anyone who isn't too picky. ”
