Jamaica Beach is a cool 12 mile cruise west down San Luis Pass Road from the 61st Street Fishing Pier, sitting in the heart of Galveston Island’s west end. Founded in the 1960s as a haven for relaxation and recreation, Jamaica Beach, Texas continues to be a favorite retreat for both locals and visitors. Like most beach communities in Galveston, Jamaica Beach has a single street of homes on the beach side of San Luis Pass Road, with the majority of the community sitting on the bay side, including several streets of waterfront canal homes that lead directly out to Galveston Bay. So whether you’re looking for a beachfront vacation rental, or a family friendly home with a boat lift and fishing access, Jamaica Beach truly has something for everyone.
Jamaica Beach is also home to several restaurants and a convenient local market, Seven Seas Grocery, perfect for any last minute items needed during a vacation stay. However, one of the best things about Jamaica Beach is the community beach access point. Jamaica Beach is one of the few beaches in Galveston where cars and golf carts are allowed to drive and park right on the sand. Another incredible perk of Jamaica Beach are the community amenities open to locals and visitors, including the Jamaica Beach community pool and splash pad, which operates from Memorial Day - Labor Day for a fee, and Jamaica Beach city park with basketball courts, a covered pavilion with picnic tables, and playground.

Lakefront Landing
This was our 4th time staying here for a family get together. Wonderful big home on the lake! The teen/game room with custom bunk beds is fabulous! Tons of sleeping space and open concept kitchen/living makes it perfect for socializing. Very clean and updated.

Egrets Nest
